Luxury comes in many forms. It is not always the most expensive version of something, but it’s usually not the cheapest version either. Luxury is about quality, craftsmanship, and living your best life. We spend time with our clients advising them to identify their most crucial needs, and how to fulfill them. There are usually items that demand extra attention, such as a one of a kind area rug, or the perfect slab of stone. Identifying quality means different things to different people. For example, you may choose to avoid anything mass produced, or that you prefer working with local artisans or companies with value systems similar to yours. However you define it, your life is enriched by it.
Luxury is subjective
This is not about showing off. Instead it’s about class, elegance, personal expression, beauty. You can drive a Bentley and carry a Coach bag, if those are the things that speak to you. On the other hand, maybe you drive a modest car and carry a Birkin bag, because it strikes a deep chord within you, enhances your sense of self, and increases your happiness. It’s up to you where you place the emphasis. You decide what you want to experience, and what you want to convey.
Having the ability to celebrate your life is a true luxury. The unique expression of beauty, grace, functionality and personality goes beyond simply buying things. It taps into the same places as all creative arts. Like a sculptor removing wood or stone to reveal an essential form underneath, or an archaeologist excavating treasure, we can get closer to our own uniqueness by clearing away what doesn’t need to be there, and adding back what does.
Self Actualization Through Interior Design
In my company, we help people find and express themselves as individuals, not as imitations of a particular type of lifestyle. We love to uncover the unique, the nonconformist and the unexpected. Part of this involves a discovery process. We dig deep with our clients to mine their true desires and make them manifest.
Interior Design can offer you a direct path to your own essence, to the most highly realized version of yourself. You can achieve self-actualization through Interior Design.
