What Claudia Giselle Design (CGD) offers is not a signature “look,” but a process that unearths
how you want to live and express your story in your surroundings. Each CGD interior is vividly
original, because it’s about an authentic connection with the client. The end-product is always
calming and organizing, because Claudia and her team create tailored systems for living. CGD
is a certified Minority and Woman-owned Business (M/WBE).

Claudia is never happier than when her interiors help you actualize your best life and work. Her company’s servicis personalized, meticulous and orderly, the reason 95 percent of her business is word-of-mouth. A passionate educator, Claudia is an instructor at The New York School of Interior Design. Meet our founder and principal, an award-winning New York State Certified Interior Designer (CID) and NCIDQ Certified Interior Designer.

Claudia Tejeda was born in the Dominican Republic. Acclimating to the United States at the age of 10 made her a keen observer of the different ways people live. Her parents were self-made entrepreneurs who lifted Claudia’s family into a better life, and she credits them with instilling an intense work ethic. Claudia received a BS in Advertising and Speech Communications from Syracuse University, and a degree in interior design from the New York School of Interior Design. She started her design career in the hospitality sector, designing restaurants for celebrity chefs. Later she was recruited by a 350-employee architecture firm to formalize their interior design department, and worked on restaurants, retail environments, and real-estate developments. Claudia launched her own firm in 2011. She continued to work on commercial projects, even as she carved out a niche in designing residences. In 2012, she was elected the youngest-ever president of the International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA)

All Families Are Beautiful & Welcome

What We Stand For

Every engagement begins with a Client Lifestyle Interview so we can understand your habits, needs, and wishes. We listen with an open heart and no judgment. The details of your life spark our concepts.

We develop relationships of trust with our clients. We communicate directly and create spaces that reflect the real you, and the love and joy in your life.

It's not about labels or expense; it’s about objects made by master craftsmen that add meaning and value to your property.

Bespoke Design

We design custom objects that help you function better.

We deliver on time and within budget, repurpose beloved objects, and minimize waste.

Health & Wellbeing

Claudia has endured a lifelong struggle with allergies and migraines that informs her approach to design. She fiercely guards her clients’ wellbeing, whether that means selecting healthy materials or creating havens that facilitate sleep, relaxation and renewal.

"This is my home. It reflects who I am, what Claudia and I discussed at great length."

"Claudia is trained in architecture so she looks at the whole structure and what it suggests in terms of the division of space and what you can do that’s going to look not forced, but rather, organic."
